Out of the 3 3DS fighting titles, I would actually recommend DoA or BlazBlue over Street Fighter, just because they were built for the 3DS from the ground up as fully-realized new titles:
In the case of DoA Dimensions, they smoothly integrate the entire Dead or Alive story from all the games into a single story mode.
In the case of BlazBlue, it’s a full-game release, whereas the other versions are merely patches or down-ports. The 3DS version includes, on top of the requisite re-balancing, new story modes for each character, plus new characters, plus the “precious” animated backgrounds that people have been holding against Street Fighter.
Although in favour of Street Fighter, SSF4 3D Edition DOES have the most bustling online community.
I would like to throw in a recommendation for Devil Survivor Overclocked, as well. For a launch RPG, it is pretty fantastic, being in one of japan’s “Big 5” franchises and not some experimental rush-job.
